Good rides start
with a little know-how.
Find your wheels, look out for one another, and leave the city a little better.
Find. Scan. Go.
Sign in and verify your phone. Open the map, choose an available pedal bike, e-bike or scooter, and scan the QR code. Check the displayed price and wait for the app to confirm your vehicle has unlocked.
Park with a little care.
Finish inside a marked Siaka parking area. Keep pavements, entrances, and crossings clear. Close the physical lock when your bike requires it, then wait for the app to confirm your ride is complete.
A little pause.
Pause keeps your vehicle reserved for you. It starts after the lock confirms it is secure. Paused time has a separate per-minute rate shown before you confirm. Resume in the app when you’re ready.
Clear prices. Easy payments.
Pedal bikes and electric vehicles have separate per-minute prices. Both passes include 60 pedal-bike minutes per day, resetting at midnight in Nairobi. Electric Pass adds 300 scooter/e-bike minutes per paid month. Allowances do not roll over. Pauses and extra minutes cost more; check your quote before unlocking.
Look out for your fellow city people.
- Wear a well-fitting helmet. Check your brakes, tyres and lights; check the saddle on bikes and battery on electric vehicles before riding.
- Ride sober, follow traffic signals, and keep both hands ready to control your vehicle.
- One rider per vehicle. Keep pavements for people walking, and give others plenty of room.
- Stay within the service area shown in the app. Never ride a damaged vehicle.
- If a lock action fails, stay with the bike, secure it, and report the issue from your account. A failed lock confirmation means the ride may still be active.
Something not quite right?
Your account has a report form for vehicle, ride, and payment issues. Include the vehicle code and a little detail so the team can help. In an emergency, contact local emergency services first.
